Program Snapshot
The Bridge United’s programs are designed to strengthen community connections, improve access to resources, and provide support where it’s needed most. Each program works together to help individuals and families better understand available resources, navigate next steps, and access support through both community partnerships and direct efforts.

Resource Navigation:
Professional & Strategic Outreach Program
At The Bridge United, Resource Navigation serves as the foundation of our work.
Through this program, we build and maintain relationships with organizations, agencies, foundations, and community partners to better understand available resources and how they can be shared with the community.
By combining outreach, communication, and ongoing relationship-building, we work to create a more connected and accessible network—helping ensure that individuals and families have clearer pathways to the support that may be available to them.
Home Safety Support Program: Modifications & Accessibility Aid
The Home Safety Support Program focuses on helping community members remain safe and independent in their homes.
This program supports seniors, individuals with mobility challenges, and others facing physical limitations by offering practical home safety solutions that aim to reduce risk and improve daily living conditions.
Support may include:
-
Installation of grab bars and handrails
-
Bathroom safety modifications
-
Accessibility adjustments to improve mobility within the home
When available, participants may also be connected to additional safety-related resources, including:
-
Lock replacements and reinforced entry points
-
Exterior lighting improvements
-
Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
-
Basic home safety measures
All resources are provided based on availability and program qualifications.

Community Engagement
&
Direct Support Program
Volunteer-Led Outreach Services
This volunteer-powered program brings a hands-on, community-based approach to our work.
Led by Bridge Ambassadors, this program focuses on both supporting individuals directly and strengthening outreach efforts across the organizations we collaborate with.
Through this program, we aim to:
-
Support resource navigation efforts by assisting with call center responses and community inquiries
-
Provide guidance through next steps, including help with pre-qualification forms and intake processes
-
Partner with grassroots organizations by offering additional support during outreach events and community initiatives
-
Offer in-person assistance at community locations such as libraries, events, and partner sites
This program reflects a core part of who we are—people helping people, meeting individuals where they are, and working to make the process feel more approachable and less overwhelming.
Advocacy & Legislative Engagement Committee
Mobilizing Voices. Strengthening Connections.
This program focuses on keeping communities informed.
We work to stay aware of issues that may impact underserved populations and aim to share clear, timely information that helps individuals and families better understand what is happening at the local, state, and federal levels.
Our approach centers on:
-
Sharing accessible, easy-to-understand information
-
Encouraging community awareness and engagement
-
Supporting informed conversations around issues that affect daily life
This work is educational in nature and does not involve lobbying activities.

Keeping you informed.
