“We Build Bridges."
Connecting people to resources to close service gaps.
About
The Bridge United
The Bridge United is a nonprofit resource hub that works to connect individuals and families with services that support safety, stability, and independence.
We collaborate with nonprofits, grassroots organizations, and community partners to help make resources easier to find, understand, and access. Through outreach, shared information, and hands-on support, we aim to simplify what can often feel overwhelming—so people can better navigate the next steps available to them.
Whether someone is facing challenges related to food access, home safety, transportation, or other barriers, The Bridge United strives to serve as a starting point—helping connect people to resources and support that may be available to them.

Our Mission
At The Bridge United, our mission is to help connect people to resources, support, and information that can improve their quality of life—while encouraging stronger collaboration across the communities we serve.
We work toward this mission by:
-
Building relationships with community partners to better understand and share available resources
-
Helping guide individuals and families through programs they may qualify for, offering support as they take next steps
-
Providing direct support through initiatives such as home safety and accessibility efforts, when possible
-
Sharing information and community updates so people can stay informed about resources and opportunities that may affect them
We don’t replace the work being done—we look to support and strengthen it by helping connect it.
Our Story
The Bridge United was founded through years of hands-on involvement in community work.
What began as volunteer efforts among individuals who met in college grew over time. While pursuing our own careers, we continued to return to community work—volunteering, supporting nonprofit organizations, and helping where we could.
Through those experiences, we began to see how support systems function across different organizations and communities.
What stood out was not a lack of care or effort.
Organizations, church groups, and community partners were all doing meaningful work—each focused on their mission and the people they were called to serve. At the same time, there were moments where additional needs went unmet—not because they were ignored, but because no single organization could address everything.
As we moved between organizations, we found ourselves sharing information, connecting people to additional resources, and helping where we could beyond the immediate service being provided.
But that level of support often depended on who happened to be present at the time.
When we stepped away, that knowledge and connection often stepped away with us.
Over time, it became clear that there could be value in having something more consistent—something that could help bridge those gaps in a more ongoing way.
The Bridge United grew from that understanding.
Today, we continue to work alongside community partners while also developing our own efforts—building relationships, sharing resources, supporting outreach, and helping individuals and families better understand what options may be available to them.
We don’t replace the work being done—we look to support and strengthen it where we can.
Because when information is shared and people are connected, it can make the path forward feel a little more clear—and a little less overwhelming.
